Baran bo Odar is a German co-showrunner, executive producer, and writer on the Netflix original supernatural drama, Something Is Killing the Children.
Biography[]
Odar and his wife, Jantje Friese, are best known for creating the hit Netflix science fiction series Dark, which ran for three seasons before coming to a pre-planned end. In the years that followed, the duo announced their next big production at Netflix, 1899, a multilingual mystery thriller that was also planned to run for three seasons but was canceled prematurely by the streaming service.
After renewing their first-look overall deal with Netflix, Odar and Friese were tapped to develop a series adaptation of the Something Is Killing the Children comic series.
